You love your inflatable paddle board and want to take care of it. Below are a few tips on how to protect your board during transportation and storage, along with the most efficient way to store your inflatable SUP and accessories in the transport bag!
Before deflating your board, place it on a flat and smooth surface (make sure there are no rocks) and remove fins and leash. If your board has just been in salt water, rinse it off with fresh water if possible.
To deflate your board, press down on the valve and twist it a quarter turn to keep it open. The air pressure will be strong, so keep your face away from the valve as you open it.
Fold the board, starting at the nose. When you reach the tail, release the remaining air by pressing on the valve.
Secure and tighten the folded paddle board with the retention strap. This will also help you carry the board to its bag.
Place the board in the bag with the fin boxes facing up.
Place the pump hose, repair kit, and leash in the pouch located on the side of the bag.
Place your fins in their pouch and then slide the pouch in the pocket located at the front of the bag.
Place the pump in the bag, with the base of the pump towards the bottom of the bag.
Place the 3 pieces of your paddle in between the layers of your folded board. Make sure to place the paddle blade upward in the bag.
Once everything is in its place, secure the board with the retention belts located in the bag.
Close the bag with the zippers.
Pro tip: position the zippers at the top of your bag to avoid your accessories from falling out during transportation. This will also make it easier for you to locate the zippers the next time you open your bag.
