How to Install the Center Fin on You Inflatable Paddle Board

The center fin on your board is what influences maneuverability and stability, we’ve broken down how to install your center fin.

You'll need :

*We have two types of screws, be sure to follow the right tutorial!

OPTION 1 : SCREW WITH BOLT

Step 1

Remove the screw from the center fin and slide the aluminium plate to the front of the fin box, towards the nose of the board.

Step 2

Insert the fin base (with the metal pin) into the fin box and slide it to the back of the fin box. The tip of the fin should point towards the tail of the board.

Step 3

Slide the aluminium plate to align it with the hole of the center fin.

Step 4

Once both holes are aligned, tighten the screw. Make sure your fin is secure, so you don’t lose it when paddling.

OPTION 2 : SMART SCREW WITH ROLLER

Step 1

Place the screw perpendicular to your fin. The base of the screw is shaped to fit in the fin box.

Step 2

Insert the fin base (with the metal pin) into the fin box and slide it to the back of the fin box. The tip of the fin should point towards the tail of the board.

Step 3

To lock your screw into the fin box, turn the tip of your screw 90 degrees (parallel to your fin box).

Step 4

Turn the black bolt until you feel that the fin is tightly secured in place.

Tip

The further back you place the center fin, the more your paddle board will go in a straight line. If you slide the fin towards the front of the board, the easier your board will be to maneuver.
