Cédric Martineau

Who's Ced frome the TAIGA club?

I would say that I'm a cheerful, dynamic, hyperactive, more-French-than- Spanish guy, who likes to be on the water, no matter the board!

TAIGA, for me, represents family, joy of living, laughter, collaboration, wild ideas, strong support system, serious work ethics, and playfulness at the same time. We share the same values.

When you don’t have both feet in the water, what do you do?

Trail running, mountain biking, snowboarding and touring. When the weather is bad, I watch surf movies with wine and a platter of cheese!

What is your favorite spot (on the water, obviously)? Why?

Marais de la Rivière aux Cerises, Memphremagog, because it's where I live.

Otherwise, Nicaragua for the waves and the Managua Lake that surrounds the volcanoes!

Your go-to TAIGA board(s) and why?

SUP : Kazuzu rigid 12’6 – best board for touring and exploring!

Surf : Malibu 7’2 – because it allows me to surf any wave!

Wakesurf : Fish 5' - because it's a surf that allows you to ride behind a boat!

If you could choose one ‘dream destination’ for paddleboarding, where would it be and why?

Anywhere in Patagonia!

If you had one piece of advice to give to a rookie who doesn't know the wonderful world of water sports yet, what would it be?

Be patient! Keep smiling and know that the beer after your session will be glorious and well deserved!
