Who we are
The passion of our team is fueled by rivers, lakes, and oceans, even though our name references the boreal forest. Our products, designed in Canada, are developed and tested in partnership with SUP enthusiasts to ensure that they meet the highest standards of performance.
The founders
TAIGA was founded by cousins Nicolas and Pascal Jolicoeur in 2014, after they discovered stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) and saw a need for better-designed and formatted products in the market. In order to address this need and pay homage to the company's Quebec roots, they began manufacturing and selling high-quality, durable paddle boards that incorporate wood into their design. These priorities remain at the forefront of the company today.
Our mission
At TAIGA, we have a clear and straightforward mission: to make paddleboarding more accessible and promote it through the production of innovative, high-quality products that stand out in the industry. To achieve this goal, we work with a team of passionate individuals who are dedicated to creating top-notch paddle boards and paddles. We are also committed to continuously improving our products to provide the best possible experience for consumers on the water.
