We love it!

Very nice board and well designed down to all the little details, thanks to Taiga’s team for all the care that went into it.

We use the board on lakes and for SUP surfing, and it it a lot of fun. It is easy to handle on and out of the water. The board has a good volume (165L) for its length which is great for my girls (115lbs + 135lbs) and I (180lbs). Since we live in the city, we have limited amount of space to store the board in the winter, so the board length was important for us.

We love the beautiful cosmetic and it makes it even more enjoyable to ride.

Taiga’s team was very helpful while selecting our gears, took the time to explain the difference between the various options and gave us good advices.

We have absolutely no regret, this piece of gear is definitively worth its cost.

Je viens tout juste de faire l’acquisition d’une planche à pagaie Taïga. La Akoya 9,5. Je n’ai pas encore eu la chance de l’utiliser car la saison n’est pas encore débuté. Mais après plusieurs mois de recherche d’une planche adaptée à ce que je désir faire comme sport, cette planche me semble parfaite pour un plaisir assuré.
Légèreté, solidité, conception avec une ergonomie sportive et un look parfait.
Déjà sur plusieurs site de cour d’eau pour expérimenter ma planche, j’ai hâte l’exploiter à ça juste valeur.

9'5 Akoya - Root Collection

First of all, there are not more than a small handful of boards available from North American suppliers of this size. My sister-in-law loaned me the teal sibling to this particular board and I fell in love with the combined dexterity and speed that a board of this size offered. The bungee tie downs at the front of the board are available for cargo carrying; it would have affected this users decision of whether to purchase if this feature was not available. It's lightweight, wonderfully constructed, narrow, rocker style design could be challenging to control for a beginner, but once the fundamentals are gained this board is excellent for short to medium range paddle excursions and as an added bonus is super capable in choppy conditions or surf with additional help from the elevated kick pad on the rear of the board.
Easy to carry, great size for storing, AMAZING DELIVERY PROCESS, made me physically drool when it came out of the box. What more is there to ask for?
