Who is Mariepier from the TAIGA club?
My name is Mariepier, I am 32 years old and have all my teeth. I have been an ambassador at TAIGA since 2018. I'm in my last year of a PhD in education (Yes, I've been saying that for 2 years) and I'm also a community manager for some companies in the #vanlife industry.
When you don’t have both feet in the water, what do you do?
I travel. That's it. Not boring at all.
What is your favorite spot (on the water, obviously) and why?
In Quebec, Lake Meech for the most beautiful sunsets, and Outaouais and Havre-Saint-Pierre for paddleboarding with whales. I have also had the opportunity of paddleboarding in Norway, not to far from the killer whales – it is truly impressive (and also quite terrifying).
That’s three spots. Is that bad?
Your go-to TAIGA board(s) and why?
I have a soft spot for the Eska. It is easy to handle, requires good control on calm waters and is perfect in small waves.
If you had to choose one ‘’dream spot’’ to go and enjoy your board, where would it be and why?
Probably in Patagonia between the glaciers.
