When winter arrives, the routine is the same: we stow away our paddle board, bundle up indoors, and dream of travel. For Jess and P-O, things are different: it's work time. Between the repairs needed on their boat in French Polynesia, charters in the turquoise waters of the Bahamas, and boat deliveries all around the world, they spend the months from October to April literally going with the flow.

Weather conditions have been changing for the past few years. In Quebec, if the winds are now very irregular, in Cuba, the statistics are not the same. So I had to adapt to this new reality and get used to the idea that conditions are not always perfect for kitesurfing.

Last summer, we decided to use our TAIGA paddle boards to do cleanups in rivers, lakes or even on the St. Lawrence River. Our boards allow us to bring back waste found in the environment, simply by using a bucket or a diving net attached to the front. Discovering the aquatic and marine environment of Quebec, it allows us to concretely get involved in the preservation of these, while joining the useful with the pleasant!

Paddleboarding with whales : it’s virtually any paddle boarder’s dreams. While some may travel to British-Columbia to live out this amazing experience, others may gravitate towards Northern Quebec in hopes of paddling alongside the largest marine mammal. In the case of our ambassadors Dominic and Mariepier, this was their reality.
